Slow, rather short, but patient and loving.(the title could also been "the saintly mate!) Written with humour, no gigantic horrible shifters alive anymore, so just a slow journey until the 2MC's get on with it. Bit disappointing for a Cardeno.

Loved this sweet love story

Patience, understanding and gentleness are all needed by Alpha wolf Mitch if he is to stand any chance on winning his mate, Omega wolf Simon. Simon has been harassed and attacked for being a male Omega wolf all his life and was the reason he had to leave the Blue Mountain pack all those years ago with his mother. Now he is back to bury his mother but gets caught by Mitch. Mitch is the Alpha of the pack with his twin brother. He has uprooted his life to be part of the pack but all he wants is to find his own peace with a mate of his own.

With the power and strength that Mitch possesses, he could have very easily forced Simon to submit by force but he chooses to nurture Simon and show him how important he is to him. When Simon arrives he is shy, nervous and unsure about himself but with Mitch's nurturing we see him grow in confidence and become comfortable with who he is.

I love the way that Cardeno C. wrote this story, enabling the love to develop over time and in a romantic way. It was as beautiful as ever, just with a shifter twist. Cardeno C. stories are sweet yet sensual and 'Blue Mountain' is no exception.

Mitch Grant is a loner - by choice. His brother, Freddie, is the Alpha of the Blue Mountain Pack and Mitch has always stood by his side and hopefully always will. Mitch, like his brother, is an Alpha but not the Alpha and has no desire to lead his own pack. Satisfied in his position of keeping the pack safe, Mitch leaves the pack politics to his brother.

Simon Moorehead was forced from his pack, the Blue Mountain pack, while still a teen. His mother, not one to abandon her child, left the pack with him and with him, stayed on the run for more than a decade.

Circumstances bring Simon back to Blue Mountain territory where he is found by Mitch. Mitch knows that Simon is his mate but Simon is resistant to any mention of mating. Simon believes that being an Omega and gay will hurt the pack not make it stronger. Mitch has his hands full earning Simon's trust but he is up to the task.

I can't wait to read more of CC's work.

About the Author

Peggy Parish was born and grew up in Manning, South Carolina. Before moving to New York City, she taught school in the Panhandle country and in coal-mining areas. Her first job in New York City was with the Girl Scouts, and she now teaches the third grade at the Dalton School in Manhattan. Miss Parish is the author of several other books for children, including the popular Let's Be Indians.

I ordered this for a friends kid because they are from Australia. It was fun to give such a classic book to a family who knew nothing about Amelias antics. I loved her and hope with this gift that their children will love it as much as my son did.
